LifeCover ("the app") is a term life insurance needs calculator provided by Freedom Financial Planners ("we," "us"). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: the app collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Everything you enter stays on your device.
We do not collect any personal information. LifeCover has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no servers that receive your data. The figures you enter — such as your income, debts, number and ages of children, existing coverage, and savings — are stored only locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). We never see, transmit, or store this information.
The information you enter is used solely on your device to calculate your estimated life insurance coverage need and to display your results. It is not used for any other purpose.
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to anyone, because we never receive it in the first place. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking software.
LifeCover does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the device advertising identifier. No data is collected that could be linked to your identity.
The app includes optional links to schedule a consultation with a Freedom Financial Planners advisor. If you choose to follow one of these links and book an appointment, you do so through our scheduling provider, whose own privacy policy will apply to the information you provide there. The calculator inputs you entered in the app are not transmitted to that page.
The app is intended for adults making financial decisions and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. (The app may ask for a child's age purely as a calculation input; this number stays on your device and is not personal information we receive.)
Because your information lives only on your device, you can erase it at any time by using the app's "Start Over" option or by deleting the app. Removing the app deletes all locally stored inputs.
LifeCover provides educational estimates, not insurance, financial, tax, or legal advice, and not an insurance quote. Consult a licensed professional before making decisions.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
